MD + LMT = A Unique Approach to Massage
After more than 25 years of practicing medicine, I understand the critical role stress plays in our daily lives and the effects it has on our physical and mental health. I thoroughly enjoyed my interactions with patients, but I found the practice of medicine and the long hours quite challenging, and I found massage therapy to be very helpful for my own stress management. I also found massage helpful for the management of physical wear and tear due to exercise or prolonged desk work.
I went to massage school to learn hands-on techniques to help others better manage their physical and mental stress. I use the techniques learned in school and in additional training to facilitate healing of muscular tissue, aid in pain relief, improve body function, and to help individuals find peace and relaxation.
I worked as a massage therapist in Boston before retiring from my medical practice and relocating to South Florida in 2022. I have been working part time in a local spa and am expanding to provide mobile massage to people in the Wilton Manors/Fort Lauderdale region.
